協力隊活動レポート公開、ナミビア南部、アンナマードロップ小学校
ナミビア南部、アンナマードロップ小学校へ隊員の活動を参観
唯一のナミビア南部に住む隊員の活動を見に行きました。
私のすむオカハオから約1000キロ離れています。
毎週月曜日には、教会の方がキーボードを弾いて、児童生徒で歌を歌っていました。
北部で音楽付きで歌を歌う学校は見たことがありません。
そして、彼女は教室へ行く子供たちにハイタッチで交流をしていました。
学校によりますが、彼女の教室があり、そこには様々な掲示物が貼られていました。また、授業はとてもテンポがよく、児童がなにか私語をしていれば、きちんと注意しており、しつけをしっかりしていました。
授業中にさぼる先生がちらほらおり、とても困っている様子でした。
学校は、荒野の奥にある田舎の学校ですが、寮生活をする子どもたちの寮の食事はしっかりしており、教員もパンを頂くことができました。
北部には多くのヤシの木はありますが、針葉樹があることにびっくりしました。

First of all, I appreciate the principal and teachers for observing the school nevertheless of the exam period.
Every Monday, there is an assembly in the morning, when the teacher share information and students are singing songs with live music. Examinations start this week, so a principal encourage them by motivational speech. The teachers make discipline, even after assembly; they make the queue and go to their classes. Japanese volunteer Ms. Yamamoto also encourage them by giving Hi-five to all students.

Grade 4,5, Subject: Mathematics, Topic: Reviewing
In Ms. Yamamoto's class there were a lot of wall displays that help the students to remember easily. These displays were coloured in red, blue and green, which was helpful for distinguishing and for clear understanding.
Her lesson was said a in a loud and clear voice, and her teaching rhythm was good, so students were attracted. Pupils were solving the problem; she was checking their notebooks and she wrote answers on the chalkboard.
After this, they would confirm their answers comparing with the results what were on the chalkboard. This is an efficient method for them. Also, she paid attention to discipline, when one of the pupils was playing with a piece of cloth, she warned her and was waiting for her to put away that.
She was teaching with flashcards, and when a student didn’t understand she tried to explain in detail further. After class, she taught incomprehensible students. In addition, after class, she taught from 3 to 5 pm exams topic.
Grade 3, Subject: Environment, Topic: animals
The teacher distinguished properly on the chalkboard domestic animals, birds, wild animals, and sea animals, etc. The pictures were small, so she was walking around the learners and showed them. She taught animals feature by using body language and drawing a picture. It was a nice lesson.
I taught Grade 3 the paper folding technique, by using A4 paper for Arts subject.
